When it comes to our partners, children, or friends, we want them to experience the same things we do when we find something that makes an impact in our lives.

Over the past 20 years, many clients have said "I wish I could do it for him/her" referring to the work it takes to make changes in our lives. They say that because the person they are referring to is not interested in doing the work they are asking them to do so they can make changes in their own lives.

We get frustrated and do not understand why they are not doing the work. We just want them to be happy and we always believe we have their answer. We know if they did the work, they would change, and all would be good.

Personally, the thing I learned years ago, was to give the person my opinion on what could work for them and leave it at that. I now think of it as planting a seed. Whether that seed gets watered or not is not up to me. Honestly, it is none of my business if it gets watered or not because it is their experience. The best thing I do for myself and them is not get dragged into bugging them or attempting to convince them how something I am offering can change their life.

What I can do after giving them my opinion, is think “I send them all they need. Thank you.” That sends the person the energy of whatever it is they need to help them on their journey through life.

The cold hard reality is... Everyone is on this earth to have their own unique experience. What works for you and I may not work for them and quite honestly, they may not want to make changes in their life at that moment – or certainly not the changes we want for them.

When one focuses on themselves and does work to attain their dreams with only their self in mind, they will be free and those around them will change accordingly. Do not change others dear one, change yourself and others will follow.”
